Meet Your Director

Classes are enthusiastically taught by Amy Peters. She has a creative way to make learning fun every day with her special musical talents of singing and playing the guitar.

Her passion is teaching and loves each day just as much as the first that began over 20 years ago.

Amy is a graduate from Illinois State University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology. She continued with her post graduate work at Northern Illinois University.

Amy discovered her passion for teaching preschool age children while she taught for four years as the Speech/Language teacher in the developmental

preschool in Peru, IL. From there she decided to venture out on her own and operated a successful preschool for 9 years in Kankakee, IL.

Since moving to Batavia, Amy has continued to teach preschool, provide home tutoring and volunteering at Grace McWayne Elementary School. Amy also provides a music program through the Sugar Grove Library and Sugar Grove Park District.

She has now brought her love of teaching children to Sugar Grove and continues her life long dream — owning her own preschool center.
